MoviTHERM Launches Technology That Keeps Industrial Laundry Facilities Safe from Fire

MoviTHERM paves the way for safety with leading-edge technology that helps detect early fire formation in industrial laundry facilities. With spontaneous combustion being the leading cause of most fire outbreaks, laundry facilities become vulnerable to disastrous outcomes every day. Materials with high cotton content begin to oxidize when the surface temperature reaches 95°C. If heat is not permitted to dissipate, the material may continue to raise temperature to the point of starting a spontaneous fire. With the presence of cleaning and petroleum products or natural fats and oils, the potential for automatic combustion increases even further. Many fire detection sensors are available today, but such sensors can only warn when smoke is present, which may be too late in some situations. MoviTHERM offers a solution that will alert the facility of potential fire warning signs, including before the appearance of smoke.

MoviTHERM's iEFD solution consists of a wireless system that connects smart infrared cameras with high thermal sensitivity and smoke detectors to a web application. The user can read current temperatures and be alerted when a hot spot is detected. 

Alerts can be customized and modified to alarm hundreds of employees simultaneously. Allowing plenty of time to clear the area, follow safety protocols, and prevent a disastrous outcome. Alerts can be received in various ways, including voice calls, texts, or email, ensuring the recipient is alerted regardless of their digital savviness.
